The Top 10 Most Highly Tuned NASP Engines - No.5
5. Porsche 918 Spyder
Number 5 in the list is perhaps controversial given it's hybrid powertrain, but fortunately Porsche do provide specifications for the engine performance without electrical assistance and it turns out, it's a bit of a corker!
The 4.6 litre V8 doesn't top the list for either specific torque or piston speed, but with 24.7m/s and 87lbft both figures are at the upper end of the spectrum, indicating an incredibly highly tuned setup, even more so than the 991 GT3 RS which suprisingly doesn't make the list at all!
With 608bhp out of a theoretical maximum of 700, the Porsche 918 Spyder ranks 5th with an NA PI of 869.
